Hello again
I haven’t posted in a while.
This post will be a little different but still related.
I recently got a new job. I have been looking for a while, but it’s been a slow process. During the process of applying for a lot of jobs and never hearing anything back, I thought about researching and finding out why.
It turns out that my resume wasn’t really done that well and wasn’t configured correctly to make it through the Applicant Tracking System.
I did some research and found a company that will write you two versions of a resume me. Give you a cover letter, as well as rewriting your LinkedIn profile.
This company is Let’s Eat, Grandma. The name is a fun, but the company does excellent work.
I came across a few different companies, but I chose this one based on their many positive reviews on Trust Pilot.
I went with the Premium package because of the LinkedIn rewrite. Even though I am not that active on LinkedIn, I am aware of how important it can be in your career, and I am working on my brand on that platform.
But anyway, I had my resume rewritten but I didn’t even need it yet because I landed a new job with my old one.
Not to say my new one is not needed. I am currently in my senior year of college and the job I got is an entry level technician at the college I go to. Which I needed because they work with your class schedule. That was my most important aspect of this job hunt.
My new resume is geared towards my intended career path when I graduate.
This new job though I feel is extremely valuable with the vast number of different things that I will be doing. I will most definitely learn so much at this job while I finish college.
This post isn’t directly about tech as much but finding that entry level job in this field is extremely important. If you are having trouble finding something I suggest considering having a professional company rewrite your resume for you.
I haven’t needed to use mine yet, but I will keep gaining experience and knowledge at my current job and tweak it for career that should kick off in about a year. Thanks for reading.
